Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.
How Far Along: 7 weeks and 5 days
Total weight gain: Still not getting on a scale
Maternity clothes: Not wearing any yet, but I can tell that my scrub pants and my bra feel tight by days end
Sleep: I get sleepy at work after lunch and if I sit down to chart. On my days off, I still can't sleep past 8 AM, but after I get up, I can take multi-hour naps during the day.
Best Moment this week: Seeing the heartbeat again at Dr. Butler's office (a strong 153 bpm and growth right on schedule!) and getting turned over to my obstetrician Dr. Harper. I go to see him next week!
Movement: None yet
Gender: All of the gender prediction charts say girl, but we'll see!
Labor signs: None and I hope not to see any for a long time!
Belly button: Innie
Cravings: Still craving the orange juice and I really want some sushi, but I'm going to have to get over that.
Nausea: Some days it's an all day thing and nothing helps, including eating or taking a nap. I have still only vomited while brushing my teeth or in the shower. And if I haven't had anything to eat in awhile, the nausea comes on really fast.
What I miss: Loving every minute!
Stretch Marks: No new ones
Weekly wisdom: Keeping snack items in my lunch bag is a very good idea.
What I am looking forward to this week: Seeing some of my fam this weekend.
We will have to see what we end up having, since we were both 27 and conceived in January. Although, I did do a gender predictor chart the other day that said boy. But like you, all the others for me have said girl.
ReplyDeleteI kind of want to buy the IntelliGender kit, but I can't see spending $40 on it. Maybe I can hint enough to someone and they'll get it for me! :-)
